Dispute over the rented dumpster

The house I am renting is unfurnished and I have been using old second hand furniture till now. Now I have ordered for some new furniture and to take away the old ones I had arranged a dumpster rental from Gorilla Bins ( http://www.gorillabins.ca/ ). I casually mentioned this to my landlord yesterday and he grew upset over the fact that I am renting a dumpster and that it will in our front yard for a day. He is saying that it will ruin the driveway and the loan. Can someone please help me. What I am I supposed to do?

If this story is true, the landlord clearly needs to get a life! According to you, the dumpster will only be sited in the front yard for “one day” and there is unlikely to be any alternative method for co-ordinating the disposal of the old furniture. I really fail to see what all the fuss is about!

That sounds like a terrible experience. Renting a dumpster is something everyone is allowed to do. I am not sure why they got upset but if it makes it better, maybe consider a junk removal service? They will park their vehicle and take all the junk away in a short amount of time. Sometimes even though the landlords are tough to deal with, it is not worth the headache for sure. Compromise is always best in my experience.
